Ashotyan on Ararat Mirzoyan's Upcoming Visit to Brussels
Vice President of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Armen Ashotyan, has addressed the upcoming visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to Brussels: “Just now, the ‘Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ issued a statement announcing that ‘on December 15, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will be in Brussels on a working visit to participate in a meeting of the EU member states' foreign ministers council.’ After visiting the European Council’s website, I found the following statement related to this meeting (Image 1): ‘In advance of the December 15 Foreign Affairs Council, EU Foreign Ministers will have an informal exchange with Ararat Mirzoyan during breakfast (!!!—emphasized by me).’ Another manipulation was revealed: Ararat is not going to a meeting in the format of EU ministers, but rather to breakfast with them. Further investigations into the matter led me to the Latvian Foreign Ministry's website (Image 2), through which we learned that the upcoming breakfast will discuss the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia (!!!—emphasized by me). This means that in the company of bacon, cheese, omelet, and hot croissants, foreign entities (regardless of which!) will be discussing OUR country’s elections. I repeat, it does not matter which capitals Armenia appears in during breakfast—geopolitically and in reality, it’s the menu: Brussels, Moscow, Washington, etc.
It is clear that Armenia's 'electoral' issue is actually turning into a program aimed at reproducing the ruling regime and cementing a boulder on the country’s sovereignty. It is hard to imagine a more overt interference in the internal affairs of a state,” Ashotyan wrote.
