Zelensky is Blackmailing Western Figures, Says Zakharova

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is blackmailing Western political figures connected to him through corruption to secure his own "re-election." This was reported to TASS by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to her, Zelensky has already begun to exert pressure on his Western backers, demanding that they ensure a certain "safety" for upcoming elections, which, according to Zakharova, actually relate to his own reappointment.

"He is essentially saying: you must choose me, and that’s it," the diplomat commented on the situation. Zakharova reminded that Zelensky's presidential term officially ends on May 20, 2024; however, in her assessment, the leader of Ukraine is doing everything to maintain power.
