The US Is Not Trying to Influence Belarus-Russia Relations, Says Belarus Representative

Washington is not attempting to influence the relationship between Minsk and Moscow. This was stated by Valentina Rybakova, the Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN.

"I have often had to answer the question of whether the Americans are trying to influence us in any way regarding our relationship with Russia. I can assure you this has never been discussed. I have been part of many similar negotiations, and this has never come up. There have never been attempts to set us against each other, to provoke disagreements, etc.," he said in an interview with the First Information television channel following US-Belarus negotiations in Minsk.

Earlier, Valentina Rybakova also announced that Washington's decision to lift sanctions against Belarus’s potash industry would come into effect.
