Preliminary Reports Indicate Soldier Shot Himself in the Head with Issued Weapon

On December 12, 2025, a criminal investigation was initiated regarding the death of a soldier. This was reported by the spokesperson for the investigative committee, Kima Avdalyan.

"According to preliminary information, the soldier fired a shot at his head with his issued weapon, resulting in his death," she noted.

It is recalled that on December 12, around 4:00 PM, the body of soldier Smbat Mheri Kirakosyan was discovered with a gunshot wound.
