Erdogan Issues Statement on Negotiations with Putin
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced his intention to discuss the Ukrainian conflict resolution plan with U.S. President Donald Trump. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
Erdogan stated that he held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ashgabat on Friday, where the possibilities of achieving peace in Ukraine were discussed.
“After this meeting with Putin, God willing, we will discuss the peace plan and, if possible, with U.S. President Trump. Peace is not far off; we see it,” Erdogan told reporters upon returning from Ashgabat.
The Turkish president emphasized that he discussed efforts towards resolving the conflict with Putin and added that Ankara has a positive stance regarding the initiatives proposed by Donald Trump.
