The U.S. Has 'Removed Some Things' from Ukraine Peace Plan
“We have removed some things [from the peace plan]. There are four or five different parts,” said U.S. President Donald Trump. He noted that crafting a peace agreement is not easy, as it requires “to cut the country in a certain way.”
Trump compared the process to a “real estate deal.” The U.S. President declared that the United States wants to “save many lives.” He emphasized that the country is “not participating in the war,” and that the U.S. is instead engaged in negotiations to end the conflict.
Trump also stated that the U.S. is ready to assist Ukraine with security guarantees, describing their provision as an essential factor in ending the conflict.
