Explosion in Norakert Village Leaves One Injured

On December 12, at 14:53, the National Crisis Management Center received information that an explosion occurred during welding works in the vicinity of the former cattle farms in Norakert village, Armavir region, due to the ignition of a diesel iron barrel (40 tons, empty), leading to a fire outbreak.

Two fire and rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been dispatched to the scene. One civilian has been hospitalized in a medical center.

The fire was localized at 15:07 and extinguished by 15:12. Fifteen square meters of electrical cable and electrical tools were burned, and one barrel's lower part was damaged, while three barrels were thermally affected. Firefighters conducted cooling operations, preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent barrels.
