Did You Not Know Back Then That Martuni Residents Are Hardworking? Says QP Deputy to Tatoyan

The deputy of the Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly, Alkhaz Ghazaryan, shared a video on his Facebook page, responding to the remarks made by former Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan in Martuni. Tatoyan had stated that the residents of Martuni are forced to emigrate as they are "grounded and hardworking people."

Ghazaryan noted, “Everyone knows that Martuni residents are grounded and hardworking people, but the fact that Tatoyan is talking about emigration is a novelty.” He added that Tatoyan may be suffering from memory loss.

According to the deputy, between 2008 and 2018, 300,000 people left Armenia, a portion of whom were from Martuni. “Didn’t you know back then that Martuni residents are hardworking? You could have asked, 'Where are you going, people?' or did Serzh Sargsyan not give wings to anyone?” Ghazaryan concluded.
