Lawyer Reports Search Underway at Artsakh Representation Office
A search is being conducted at the Artsakh representation office as part of a criminal case initiated in June 2025, related to an alleged economic crime. This was reported by lawyer Roman Yeritsyan to journalists.
"The case concerns a specific legal entity and a loan agreement made between it and a bank operating in Armenia, as well as a session agreement signed by the Artsakh Investment Fund. This agreement was made under the rulings of the governments of Armenia and Artsakh. Thus, I personally have not recorded any elements of a blatant crime here and do not understand how the events of 2021 are related to the Artsakh representation," he stated.
Yeritsyan expressed confusion over what kind of documents the authorities are searching for and the connection to the Artsakh representation. "There cannot be a single illegal document at the Artsakh representation; there isn't one," he said. He emphasized that it is no coincidence that the search is taking place today, describing it as "not a coincidence; this is a campaign."
When asked whether they aim to seize the Artsakh representation building, the lawyer replied, "Anything is possible, but if someone is arrested, it will not be lawful. Last year, they were also breaking down doors, and Samvel Karapetyan's testimony has also been included in the case, which has led to the search in the building. They come to find documents related to banks but instead find lists of the deceased."
It is noteworthy that a large group from the RA Investigative Committee has been present at the Artsakh representation for about an hour now, conducting a search. This information was shared with ABC Media by the Artsakh State Minister Nzhdeh Iskandaryan.
