Investigating Who is Spreading Such 'False Rumors': 'Hraparak'
Anna Hakobyan, the wife of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, recently denied rumors suggesting she has ties to the '88' supermarket chain and called for a boycott of that chain. She then publicly appealed to the General Prosecutor's Office, stating that they should address reports alleging that pressures are being exerted on various businessmen in her name, after which new branches of the '88' supermarket chain are being opened in those areas.
On the same day, a response to the 'report' was initiated, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs has also begun an investigation to determine who is spreading such 'false rumors.' The Ministry of Internal Affairs did not respond to inquiries regarding the actions being taken in relation to this complaint, while the Prosecutor's Office stated, 'The matter has been addressed according to the procedure established by law, and we will provide updates on the progress later.'
