If Europe Decides to Go to War, We Are Ready for It Even Now – Lavrov
Russia has no intention of attacking Europe or NATO and is ready to formally record this in writing, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"The President has been very clear about this – there are no aggressive plans against NATO member states or EU member states. We are ready to record the relevant guarantees in a legal document, of course, on a collective, reciprocal basis, in the context of the aforementioned approach. If Europe decides to go to war, we are ready for it even now," the diplomat added.
Lavrov also noted that Russia is prepared to continue joint efforts towards resolving the Ukrainian conflict, primarily with the American side, as Washington has shown a serious intention to achieve results.
"We truly want to end the conflict. Our principled position remains unchanged," stated the Russian Foreign Minister.
He also informed that overall, the Russian side has handed over more than 11,000 remains of fallen Ukrainian soldiers to Kyiv, in response to which it received the remains of 201 soldiers.
