Hands Off the Armenian Apostolic Church: How Pashinyan Was Welcomed in Moscow
In Moscow, Prime Minister Pashinyan was welcomed with a rally organized in front of the Armenian Embassy. This was reported by Baza. Around 300 people, including clergymen, activists, and special forces soldiers, gathered near the Armenian Passage building. The protesters declared the government's decisions to detain clergymen and businessman Samvel Karapetyan unconstitutional.
The protest in Moscow was specifically organized for Pashinyan's arrival. The Prime Minister's plane has already landed in the capital. Earlier, the aircraft could not land due to restricted airspace and was diverted to an alternative airport. A drone attack overnight delayed more than 170 flights at Moscow's airports.
“Hands off the Armenian Apostolic Church. We stand beside Ejmiatsin,” read the banners.
