UFC Fighter Paddy Pimblett Responds Harshly to Arman Tsarukyan

UFC fighter Paddy Pimblett has delivered a stern response to Arman Tsarukyan's criticisms, explaining why he believes the Armenian fighter has not received an opportunity for a title fight in the lightweight division.

Pimblett recalled his fight against Charles Oliveira: “People talk about my last three victories, and yes, Tony Ferguson was on a losing streak. But Beneil Dariush, whom Arman defeated, looked like a 65-year-old man; his hair was completely white. And he did not defeat Charles Oliveira, though many argue otherwise.”

The British fighter also discussed Tsarukyan's disqualification and the situation surrounding the title fight: “After the fight, Tsarukyan hit a fan and was disqualified. UFC probably had to pay a huge amount to avoid a lawsuit from that guy. After that, he had the right to compete for the title fight, but he said, ‘My back hurts, I’m not stepping into the cage.’ In reality, he probably just couldn’t make the weight. He remained inactive for 11 months; they offered him a fight with Gamrot, but he declined. If I were offered to fight someone who had defeated me, I would immediately accept.”

Pimblett also touched on the topic of Dan Hooker, criticizing their fight: “Then he fought Dan Hooker, and during the weigh-in ceremony, he almost passed out with a headbutt and was on the verge of missing another main event. Now you understand why Tsarukyan hasn’t earned contender status. As for Hooker, he is weak; he knows nothing about wrestling. If I applied a guillotine on Arman, he would be unconscious. But if Dan Hooker has grabbed you and almost choked you out, then you are of no use at all,” concluded Pimblett.
