Trump Awarded FIFA's First Peace Prize

United States President Donald Trump has been awarded FIFA's inaugural Peace Prize. The award was presented by FIFA President Gianni Infantino during the ceremony for the draw of the 2026 FIFA World Cup held in Washington, D.C.

Infantino stated that Trump received the award for his exceptional actions aimed at establishing peace and strengthening unity around the world. "This is your award, this is your peace prize. Here is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear wherever you go," Infantino noted.

Donald Trump described the award as one of the greatest honors of his life. "We have saved millions of lives all around the world. I want to thank everyone, the world is now safer," Trump said.

During the presentation of the FIFA Peace Prize, a video was shown highlighting Trump's actions towards establishing peace over the year. The three-way declaration signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8, 2025, was also noted.

On August 8, Armenia and Azerbaijan preliminarily signed a peace agreement in the U.S. capital, Washington, D.C. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also signed a joint declaration, which was witnessed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
