Russia Among Three Countries with Most Affordable Electricity

Russia ranks among the three countries with the most affordable electricity in the G20. Saudi Arabia takes the top spot, followed by Turkey in second place. For households in these countries, the cost of electricity is $0.05 and $0.066 per kilowatt-hour, respectively.

In Russia, the same unit of electricity costs $0.068 or 5.26 rubles. India offers the cheapest electricity for households at $0.073, while China follows closely with a cost of $0.075.

On the other end of the spectrum, Germany has the highest electricity prices at $0.40 per kilowatt-hour. Italy ranks second with a cost of $0.37, and the United Kingdom is third at $0.35.
