Clashes Erupt Again at Pakistan-Afghanistan Border

Clashes have erupted again at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Reports indicate that Afghan and Pakistani forces exchanged gunfire. There are currently no official details regarding casualties.

Both sides accuse each other of violating the ceasefire, which has been in place for two months, amid escalating tensions.

Relations between the countries deteriorated on October 9, following airstrikes by Pakistan in Kabul, which targeted leaders of the Taliban movement, leading to subsequent border clashes. The two countries had reached a temporary ceasefire agreement on October 15.
