Children Face Issues Returning Home Late as Dogs Attack, Says Narek Grigoryan
I visited the village of Karmirgyugh in the Gegharkunik region and met with the teaching staff. The only issue they mentioned was that students who attend school in the second shift cannot walk home due to problems with aggressive dogs attacking them. This was stated by Narek Grigoryan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction in the National Assembly.
He pointed out that workers in night shifts at local shops also highlighted the same concern. 'There should be a sterilization process for dogs in communities; is this process being carried out effectively? In Yerevan, dogs can manage to pass through crossings, but in villages, dogs haven’t developed to do so, and they attack people right by the trash,' he said. 'Our main objective should be to prioritize human lives; we all love and keep animals.'
