Police and Emergency Situations Service Transition to Heightened Alert

The Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Emergency Situations Service have transitioned to heightened alert. In light of the weather conditions, by the directive of Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, the Police and Emergency Situations Service are conducting enhanced operations on the roads of the republic.

As a reminder, from November 15 to March 31, it is mandatory for vehicles to use winter tires exclusively. Officers from the patrol service are monitoring compliance 24/7 and holding accountable those drivers who violate this requirement.

For safety reasons, the Ministry of Internal Affairs urges the public to travel only with winter tires, to remain vigilant, and to strictly follow the traffic rules. If necessary, please contact 911 or 102.
