270 vehicles equipped with amplifiers and silencers confiscated
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated active efforts to identify vehicles equipped with non-standard audio systems and unauthorized silencers. In November alone, the Patrol Service inspected 1,706 vehicles across the country. A total of 270 vehicles were found to be non-compliant with standards, and the respective equipment was confiscated in all cases.
This trend, which has recently raised public dissatisfaction, has thus been curtailed, significantly reducing the volume of received signals. Efforts in this direction will continue with the aim of eliminating negative practices altogether. All violators will be identified and subjected to administrative liability. Despite occasional complaints from drivers held accountable, public safety remains a priority for all of us. Therefore, we urge individuals to voluntarily remove non-compliant equipment; otherwise, the Police will continue to enforce strict administrative measures as per the law.
It is worth noting that Article 123 of the Code of Administrative Offenses prohibits the installation, use, or operation of equipment that emits visual or sound signals, silencers, additional amplifiers for speakers, or loudspeakers in any state.
