Don't Insult, Mr. Pashinyan, You Are on Another Level: MP from Civil Contract Party
I generally do not attend services, and the so-called culprit has been Garegin and his priests. This has not happened today or after 2018. I have understood that these people are not the standard to whom I should go for a service; their behavior over the past 30 years has led me to believe that if I have something to discuss with God, my intermediary cannot be Garegin, nor similar priests, nor the building itself. If I need to talk with God, I can do so right now, standing here.
This was stated by Kristine Poghosyan, a member of the Civil Contract Party, in a conversation with journalists.
Regarding Mr. Pashinyan, she added, “If I were sure that he is doing something wrong or bad, I would have left much earlier. I am confident that he is on the right path; he is doing the best for Armenia. I don't know a person more pro-state and more loving of Armenia than Nikol Pashinyan.”
In response to reporters' questions, Poghosyan addressed Pashinyan's mixed insult-laden post targeting a bishop, stating, “The Prime Minister has already said that he should not have done that; he apologized for what he said. I did not say such a thing, so why should I be forced to apologize? I have never insulted anyone; I believe that insults are a bad thing, especially in the political sphere, insults happen when arguments run out.”
When asked if she told the Prime Minister that it was not right to make such statements, Poghosyan replied that she was not in the governmental building at that time; otherwise, she would have said, “Mr. Pashinyan, you are on another level, do not do that, even if you are angry.” “I would have said it, but there has been no opportunity,” Poghosyan concluded.
