Government Releases Documents on Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Negotiation Process

The government has published documents related to the negotiation process for the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on its official website. This was announced by the government.

Recall that early in the morning on September 27, 2020, Azerbaijan, with the support of Turkey, launched a large-scale military attack along the entire length of the Artsakh-Azerbaijan border. A state of war and general mobilization were declared in Armenia and Artsakh. The war lasted for 44 days. On November 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev adopted a joint statement on the cessation of hostilities.

On April 13, 2022, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in the National Assembly that as a result of the 44-day war, 3,825 individuals lost their lives, 187 servicemen, and 21 civilians are considered missing. In March 2025, in response to an inquiry from the “Zhoghovurd” newspaper, the Investigative Committee reported that 3,941 individuals were killed in the 44-day war, while 191 are considered missing.
