The US is the Greatest Threat to Global Security: Baghaei

The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry has stated that the United States now represents the greatest threat to global peace and security, highlighting the pattern of unilateral force and coercion.

In a press conference held today in Tehran, Esmail Baghaei told reporters that the United States is openly exercising unchecked power against the Venezuelan government in its ongoing campaign. He characterized the US decision to declare another sovereign state's airspace closed as an unprecedented violation of international law.

Baghaei provided additional examples, including threats to prevent African countries from joining the G20 and the unwavering support of the US for Israel's military operations in the region. He asserted that the UN Security Council should officially recognize this policy as incompatible with the maintenance of international peace.

“Such behavior can create a dangerous precedent that other nations may follow, ultimately endangering every nation,” he said.
