NATO Prepares for Competition with Russia with Limited Support from the US

NATO is preparing for competition with Russia with limited support from the United States, according to Bloomberg.

It is noted that NATO is aware that, in the event of a conflict with Russia, it will likely have to rely on significantly less support from the US as Washington draws down its troops and focuses on Asia.

Recent extensive exercises held in Romania demonstrated that European forces, led by France, are largely learning to defend themselves. This also revealed significant shortcomings in logistics, air defense, intelligence, and long-range offensive capabilities, where Europe remains heavily dependent on the United States.
