Earthquake Hits Turkey

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) has reported that an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale struck the Mediterranean Sea this morning. The quake occurred at 8:48:57 AM, with its epicenter located approximately 65 kilometers from the Kumluca district of Antalya.

Reports indicate that the tremor was felt at a depth of 35.64 kilometers in the coastal areas. There have been no reports of casualties or property damage. Authorities have announced that seismic monitoring is ongoing to determine if there are any aftershocks in the region.

It has been noted that moderate earthquakes occurring along the Mediterranean coastline are common due to the tectonic fault lines in the area.
