War Demands More Money: Putin Signs Record Military Budget

War demands more money. Putin has signed a record military budget. Russia will allocate at least $166 billion for the war with Ukraine by 2026. Putin has already signed the new budget.

This amount accounts for nearly one-third of the country’s total expenditures and represents the highest military spending level since the Soviet era. The funds have been sourced through reductions in social benefits.

Russia has also raised taxes, increased utility costs, and introduced new fees to enhance funding for the war.
