Trump Closes Venezuela's Airspace and Appeals to Airlines
US President Donald Trump has announced the closure of Venezuela's airspace and the airspace surrounding the country. The state leader made this statement on the Truth Social platform.
“We ask all airlines, pilots, drug traffickers, and human traffickers to consider Venezuela's airspace completely closed,” he noted.
Recently, the likelihood of military operations by American forces in Venezuela has been discussed more frequently in the United States. However, what specific actions will follow Trump's warning is still unknown.
Today, authorities in Spain and Portugal advised their airlines not to fly in Venezuelan airspace in the coming days, according to TASS.
The day before, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth ordered to “kill everyone” during strikes on drug traffickers’ ships off the coast of Venezuela.
