NATO Exercises Launched Near the Russian Border with Over 3000 Soldiers Participating

NATO exercises have begun near the Russian border. The Northern Axe 25 exercises will take place in the Kainuu region adjacent to the Republic of Karelia from November 29 to December 5, according to the Finnish Ministry of Defense.

More than 3000 soldiers from Finland and the United Kingdom are participating in the exercises. The goal is to enhance skills in deterring the adversary, offensive operations, and conducting nighttime combat in the challenging conditions of Northern Finland.
