I Support the Proposal to Temporarily Suspend Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan's Service: Father Parthev

The leader of the Gegharkunik Diocese, Bishop Parthev Barskyan, has issued a statement:

“As the leader of the Gegharkunik Diocese, I hereby announce the following: I support the proposal to temporarily suspend the service of Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, presented to His Holiness the Catholicos by the commission formed regarding this matter (this is not yet a final decision).

I urge especially the church servants to refrain from insults directed at senior ecclesiastics. I respectfully request His Holiness the Catholicos to convene an urgent meeting involving the episcopal class of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.”
