New Cases of Illegal Burning Discovered: Environmental Inspectorate

The Environmental and Mining Inspectorate has reported ten instances of leaf and straw burning across various regions of the republic during intensified measures aimed at air protection, carried out on November 27. This information was communicated by the inspectorate.

Burning sites were detected in different communities of Yerevan, Ararat, Vayots Dzor, Kotayk, Aragatsotn, and Lori provinces, through inspections conducted by inspectors as well as observations made by drones.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated for all detected violations, and administrative penalties will be applied to the offenders. Monitoring and enforcement of air quality protection will continue to be conducted in a more stringent manner throughout the entire territory of the republic.
