Negotiation Is Essential, Not Sabotage: Lukashenko Appeals to Zelensky

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated that if Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had followed his advice at the beginning of the military operations, the current situation would not have arisen, according to BelTA.

"And if Ukraine had implemented the Minsk agreements, there would be no war. Ukraine would have preserved its 1991 borders. If you want Ukraine to maintain its current borders (given the realities on the battlefield), you must negotiate; the negotiation process must not be sabotaged," Lukashenko declared.

According to him, Zelensky should act based on the "current situation" and consider how to preserve what Ukraine currently has. "You have everything — both access to the sea and Odesa is yours, as well as Mykolaiv. But all this can disappear in an instant. Therefore, everything needs to be weighed carefully, and a considered decision must be made," emphasized the Belarusian leader.

Lukashenko's statements once again reflect the official Minsk position, which holds that the path to resolving the Ukrainian crisis is returning to the negotiation table and halting military operations.
