By 2029, the Majority of the Population Will Benefit from Health Insurance, Anahit Avanesyan

During a meeting of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Health, Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan announced that by 2029, a significant portion of the population in Armenia is expected to be included in the health insurance system.

According to the Minister, universal insurance coverage is planned for 284,000 people who earn 200,000 drams or more. She presented that the estimated budget for this initiative is approximately 36 billion drams.

Avanesyan noted that among those insured by the state, 700,000 are children, 480,000 are individuals aged 65 and older, and 150,000 are people with disabilities and socially vulnerable individuals.
