Moscow Claims Kyiv Embezzled Negotiation Funds: Zakharova

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, has addressed the possible embezzlement of funds allocated for the Istanbul negotiations.

Zakharova stated that it cannot be excluded that representatives of the Kyiv leadership may have embezzled the funds designated for the Istanbul negotiations. “I do not rule out that they may have also embezzled the funds allocated for communications and negotiations in Turkey. I do not exclude that either,” she noted during a press briefing on current foreign policy issues.

Zakharova also expressed gratitude to the Turkish side, which has once again offered a platform for negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
