Part of the Fire in Dilijan has been Contained

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as of November 26 at 10:30 AM, the fire that broke out in the "Kazachi" area of Dilijan has been contained. However, efforts continue near Navur, in the forest adjacent to the loops of Dilijan, and near the "Mountain Armenia" hotel.

According to the same source, the information circulating in the media that the fire has reached the "Mountain Armenia" resort is not true. Official bodies once again urge the public to rely only on official information.

The fire has primarily affected grassland areas, and a significant number of trees have not been burned, with only heat blisters reported. Homes and the resort have been protected from the spread of the fire.

In total, 669 rescuers, 215 eco-patrollers, and residents are participating in firefighting efforts. Throughout the day, the Ministry of Defense's helicopter has conducted 22 flights to assist with firefighting and aerial surveillance operations. The work is being carried out intensively.

Reports circulating in the media regarding the recruitment of volunteers do not correspond to the current situation. The Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasizes that the situation is fully under control, and additional information will be announced if the need for volunteers arises.

Citizens are urged to follow fire safety rules and to immediately call 911 if they notice any fire or smoke.
