Firefighter Killed and Several Injured in Tavush

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reports that on November 26, a tragic incident occurred during firefighting operations in the Tavush region. The service vehicle of the Vanadzor No. 2 firefighting and rescue squad of the Lori regional rescue department was involved in an accident.

While carrying out official duties, firefighter-rescuer Sergeant Taron Simonian was killed. As a result of the accident, four rescue workers sustained injuries.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, and colleagues of the deceased rescuer.
