We Must Take Advantage of This Moment: Macron on the Ukrainian Settlement Process

French President Emmanuel Macron believes the Ukrainian settlement process is at a decisive stage. He made this statement during a meeting of the so-called 'coalition of willing' aimed at providing assistance to Ukraine.

“We are clearly at a decisive moment. The negotiations are gaining new momentum, and we must take advantage of this moment,” he stated.

Macron pointed out that “finally, an opportunity has arisen to achieve real progress towards a good peace.” He emphasized that “the main prerequisite for a good peace is a series of reliable, truly solid guarantees of security, rather than paper promises.” He believes that the main goal of the coalition of willing is to secure those guarantees.
