Only Russia Has the Right to Decide the Future of Its Financial Resources: Zakharova
Ofelya
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has criticized French President Emmanuel Macron's statement that the right to manage frozen Russian assets belongs to Europe. According to Zakharova, only Russia has the right to determine the future of its financial resources, and European countries should return those assets.
This diplomat's comment was published on her Telegram channel in response to ongoing discussions in the EU about the legal mechanisms for using frozen Russian assets. According to open sources, over 200 billion euros of Russian assets remain blocked. Additionally, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also stated that Moscow is awaiting reciprocal steps.
