Manvel Grigoryan Has Long Returned Home, Wrote That He Does Not Wish to Use Nairi Medical Center
Manvel Grigoryan has not been at the Nairi Medical Center for a long time; he has returned home and has written a resignation stating that he does not wish to use medical services. However, we have warned him and his relatives about the impending complications, and as of now, we have not heard from him. I cannot say how he is at the moment,” Anatoly Gnuni, director of the Nairi Medical Center, said in an interview with 24News.
The director stated that by law, if the patient refuses, they have no right to forcibly keep him in the hospital. Manvel Grigoryan could experience complications due to having diabetes.
It should be noted that on February 21, the President of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union, Manvel Grigoryan, left the Nairi Medical Center for home, but after 24 hours, his condition worsened again, and he was readmitted to the medical center.
On December 15, 2019, at the initiative of the Armenian Prosecutor's Office, the Yerevan City Court of General Jurisdiction held an extraordinary court session regarding the change of Grigoryan's preventive measure, and he was released. A signature not to leave was chosen as the measure of restraint against him.
Manvel Grigoryan is accused of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, embezzlement of property worth over 101 million drams, evading payment of taxes exceeding 1 billion drams, wasting more than 1 billion drams of state funds, and organizing the theft of property worth 37 million drams through extortion.
