Papikyan Responds to Alen Simonyan's Statement

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, recently stated that the Armenian armed forces are deployed in Azerbaijani territory over an area of approximately 110 kilometers. Journalists asked Defense Minister Suren Papikyan if he had information on which territories were being referred to.

Papikyan responded, “Let’s leave that question to the delimitation and demarcation commission. It is premature to discuss something that the commission needs to work on. If the Speaker of the National Assembly has announced figures, he must have sufficient grounds for that.”
