Kocharian Appeals to Artificial Intelligence: No Similar Case Found in the Last 100 Years
Even artificial intelligence has found no precedents for the absurdity being carried out. This was stated by Armenia's second president Robert Kocharian during a court session concerning a provision deemed unconstitutional. It is noteworthy that the criminal prosecution against individuals involved in the sensational case was suspended following a Constitutional Court decision that recognized the charge as unconstitutional. The decision was appealed, and the case has now moved to the Anti-Corruption Court, which is currently examining the prosecution's motion to introduce new charges.
"There is a plan in place for the courts," Kocharian stated. Judge Sargis Petrosyan countered that 'no one can impose a plan, as it is the law that sets the deadlines.' Kocharian observed that this is the first time he has heard of such a circular directive addressed to the courts, and it is even more surprising that the courts are guided by it. The judge was quick to assure that he does not follow the circular but rather adheres to reasonable timeframes and efficiency.
Kocharian pointed out that every visit to court under state protection also consumes time and resources. At that moment, the judge suggested holding sessions once a week instead of three times, but for the entire day. The second president noted that he had sought the opinion of artificial intelligence regarding the content of the lawsuit, asking whether a person could be a defendant without a criminal case. "After a long contemplation, artificial intelligence replied that it is absurd. There is no country in the world where such a thing is possible. I requested it to provide an example, and it responded that no such example has been found in the last 100 years. If we speak about a sober approach, such a session should not have taken place at all. There remains an internal conviction that generally, absurdity is being carried out," Kocharian mentioned, asking the judge to provide such an example if artificial intelligence is mistaken.
