US Treasury Secretary: Sanctions Against Russia Have Failed

US Treasury Secretary Scott Basset stated on NBC News that the European sanctions imposed against Russia have not yielded the expected results. He noted that European partners are announcing the acceptance of new packages, but this process is not ensuring success.
“Europeans tell me, ‘Oh, we are adopting the 19th package of sanctions.’ I think if you’re doing something for the 19th time, then you have failed,” Basset said.
