This is how Armenian football is dying: Sandro Pirkovich

The head coach of the "Noah" club, Sandro Pirkovich, has made harsh statements addressing the systemic issues of Armenian football, refereeing mistakes, and the poor performances of national teams. The coach emphasized that during his five months of working in Armenia, he has understood that the crisis is deep-rooted and is not only related to the performance of players or coaches.

Pirkovich recalled that the U-21 national team has not recorded a victory in the last five years, and other youth teams have not won any matches in the past three years. He added that the national team's recent 9-1 loss to Portugal is not a coincidence but a consequence of systemic problems.

Speaking about refereeing, Pirkovich noted that in their last game, four penalties and one red card were issued against his team in the same episode, which he described as disproportionate and incomprehensible. The coach insists that such decisions are not just one or two mistakes but a recurring phenomenon since the start of the season.
