Starmer and Trump Discuss Peace Process in Ukraine
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, has spoken with the President of the United States, Donald Trump. The two leaders emphasized that the pathways for resolving the issues in Ukraine have reached a critical juncture. This is stated in a press release issued by the British government's website.
The statement reads: “The Prime Minister spoke with President Donald Trump today. The leaders discussed various aspects of the high-level meeting planned in Geneva concerning the U.S. peace plan for Ukraine. They agreed that at this critical juncture, we all need to work together to achieve a fair and lasting peace.”
Earlier, the U.S. administration announced the development of a Ukrainian settlement plan, noting that the details are not yet to be discussed as the work is ongoing. The Kremlin has stated that Russia remains open to negotiations and is committed to the discussions that took place in Anchorage.
