Merz Notes There is No Unified Stance on Ukraine
The Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz, has stated that forming a joint stance on the peace initiative proposed by the United States regarding Ukraine is unlikely to happen before November 27. He emphasized that the current approaches of the parties differ significantly, which hinders the progress of the process.
According to Merz, discussions are ongoing; however, existing disagreements obstruct the process. He noted that this does not mean reaching an agreement is completely out of the question, but it is hard to envision achieving such a result by the mentioned deadline.
The German Chancellor has called for negotiations to continue and to seek common approaches based on real conditions and potential solutions. He highlighted that the aim of the discussions is to maintain a collaborative format and reduce political tensions.
