The US-Presented Peace Plan for Ukraine Needs Review, Says Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron has positively assessed the US-proposed peace plan for Ukraine, noting that it offers a pathway to peace and emphasizes important principles, including guarantees of sovereignty and security. However, he stated that the document still requires significant refinement.

This information was reported by RIA Novosti. Macron highlighted that the proposed initiative should be revisited and reviewed, similar to what was done last year. According to him, official Paris and other European capitals have not been fully involved in the process of developing the plan, which now needs to be rectified.

Macron also emphasized that the plan contains several provisions directly related to Europe’s security. For this reason, any approach to a resolution must be based on coordinated discussions with joint European partners.
