LIVE: Government Meeting Underway with 33 Items on Agenda

The regular session of the government has begun, with 33 items on the agenda, 19 of which are not subject to report.

The government will discuss a draft decision to approve the 2019 program of measures aimed at improving the business environment in Armenia. The expected outcome of the adoption of this program is to alleviate the administrative and financial burden in sectors with significant potential for improvement compared to other countries, while simultaneously ensuring the development of sectors that have recorded successes in recent years.

As a result of implementing these measures, the administrative burden of engaging with state and community bodies will be reduced, corruption risks will be minimized, and the transparency of institutions providing services to businesses will be enhanced.

Among the unreported items from the government are draft decisions for holding extraordinary elections on June 9 in the communities of Apaga and Vardanashen in the Armavir region.

Also on the agenda are draft decisions regarding the allocation of temporarily free funds from the state budget to finance the deficit of the administrative budgets of the communities of Garni in Kotayk region, Kakavadzor in Aragatsotn region, Mayakovski in Kotayk region, and Nor Kyurin in Ararat region.
