VIDEO: Scandal in Baku as Armenian Music Plays in Clothing Store
In Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, an Armenian song was played in one of the clothing stores, sparking a real scandal, reports oxu.az.
The first to notice the Armenian music was Azerbaijani journalist Kenul Ayparan, who requested that the store employee turn it off. However, the employee refused to comply.
The video captured by the journalist shows that a remix version of the Armenian hit "Do Not Leave" was playing in the store. The journalist noted that the store staff ignored her remarks regarding the Armenian music and attempted to remove her from the store, stating that she should not ruin people's mood.
Later, the store employees stated that they play mixed music through YouTube every day. They claimed not to have understood the song was Armenian because they do not speak Armenian, as they are all Azerbaijanis. The store staff assured that the employee who did not turn off the song would be dismissed.
