According to the BBC, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, announced on her social media pages that she will leave Congress in January 2026. “I am leaving my position, and January 5 will be my last day in office,” she wrote.

In her statement, Greene criticized several aspects of American policy, citing job replacement by illegal immigrants, rising national debt, foreign interests being funded by taxpayer dollars, and the decreasing purchasing power of the dollar.

She reminded that she ran for Congress in 2020 believing in the idea of making “America great again.” “I have fought every day, believing that it means America first,” Greene wrote.
