New Revelations from the US on Corruption Scandal in Ukraine
Douglas Macgregor, a former advisor to the US Secretary of State, has stated that there have been instances within the Ukrainian armed forces where wounded soldiers have been compelled to pay for their transfer to medical facilities. He believes that such situations reflect the extensive corruption issues present within the system. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
According to Macgregor, financial misappropriations not only affect the injured but also the families of deceased servicemen. He pointed out that in some cases, the payments intended for military families do not reach them due to potential embezzlement by the commanders of the units.
According to the former advisor, these phenomena characterize a lack of trust and oversight within the military system, which further complicates the situation as servicemen continue to suffer heavy losses.
