Lavrov Outlines Requirements for Resolution of Ukraine Conflict

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated in an article for the media that the resolution of the Ukraine conflict depends on neutralizing threats related to NATO's expansion. According to him, sustainable peace can only be achieved by eliminating the fundamental causes of the conflict.

Lavrov emphasized the need to provide reliable security guarantees for Russia, to remove the threat of aggressive NATO expansion, and to stop attempts to draw Ukraine into a militaristic alliance. He also deemed it essential to respect the rights of Russians and Russian-speaking populations in areas controlled by Ukrainian authorities.
