How the One-Time Childbirth Benefit Will Be Defined: Details
The government has approved a decision to amend laws regarding pensions and benefits. According to the government’s decision, the monthly support of 50,000 drams for the birth of the third and each subsequent child will continue. This assistance applies to children born from January 1, 2022, until December 31, 2025.
Additionally, there will be a standardization of the one-time childbirth benefit, which will be set at 500,000 drams starting from September 1, 2026, regardless of the order of the child.
It is noteworthy that the proposed bills intend to pay pensions and several periodic benefits exclusively in a non-cash manner; however, in certain instances, when the recipient is 75 years or older or has severe functional limitations, these can also be paid in cash.
